Open Question: Why are new luxury sports cars in automatic transmission?

I've always dreamed of driving cars such as Lamborghini, Aston Martin, Ferrari, and Maserati. You know the image of them on tv where whoever's driving them is vigoriously shifting gears as they're speeding along...that kind of thing. However, I've noticed (at least with Maserati and Aston Martin) that many of these cars ONLY come in automatic transmission. Why is that? Doesn't manual make driving them more fun? ...and who WOULDN'T wanna drive these cars in stick shift? "Many use semi-auto dual clutch transmissions with paddle shifters at the steering wheel. These systems enable shifts faster than a person can physically do" I'm assuming you're talking about the "Sports shift" option (not sure what it's called), which I have noticed as an alternative in all the cars I listed above.
